I shortlisted a couple of vehicles from the long list of 6 seater vehicles. My parents advised me to look for 6 seater cars, but most of the so called 6 passenger cars available in the market could barely fit the huge bulk of my three friends in the rear seat. So I ended up with two off-roaders that can readily accommodate six persons, as well as our vacation gadgets like tents, mountain bike etc.

A Brief History Of McLaren’s Road-Going Production Automobiles, To The First Of Its New Range Of Production Supercars

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

The new McLaren MP 4-12C is the first of the new series of supercars from the same Formula one team that has been victorious 12 drivers Championships and 8 Constructors Championships. The McLaren MP 4-12C is not the Formula one team’s first road-going motorcar , this was the McLaren F1 GTR in the 1990s, and was the world’s fastest production motorcar for over 10 years. In its race form it was the overall winner and class winner of the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1995, and you might think this was the reason for developing the car but it was design to be the ultimate road automobile not a race car. McLaren’s next road-going car was the Mercedes McLaren SLR which was developed in partnership with Mercedes and was a GT Supercar. As Mercedes had demanded on adding lots of electronic equipment and a bulky engine with a bulky automatic gearbox, it was initially difficult to call this a supercar. This was because all this extra weight made the car very bulky, which made the car slow round corners but with the powerful engine it could reach a top speed of 208 mph down the straights, which put it solidly in the supercar class.

This goal is relatively basic but none the less contributes massively to road safety and therefore is accountable for reducing death and serious injury by a huge factor. Indeed the common wiper blade is commonly taken for granted but without the safety data on the road would be truly appalling and in the opinion of this observer the wiper blade has contributed just as much to safety culture as the air bag or the seat belt. In fact, it was an accidental meeting between a car and a bicycle at the start of the twentieth century which prompted a rich industrialist to start manufacturing wiper blades in huge quantities such was his grief at having caused bodily harm to an unwary life.
