The Reason So Many Shoppers Flock To Used Car Auctions

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

There are many reasons to go to a second hand car auction, not the least being the great deal you can get on nearly any car. It is not unusual to find luxury and often unique cars at a used auto auction either. One time, I found a really cute biodiesel converted Gremlin at a used car auction. Granted it went for a high price, but it was definitely entertaining to watch.

You might want just a little something to go from point A to point b, but that isn’t the main reason folk go to a second hand car auction. You will find just as many models of folk as you may autos at a second hand car auction, from dealers, to luxury financiers, to just your typical bloke Schmo.

Are Damaged Vehicles Sold in Auctions?

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Sure they do. Car auctions sell all types of cars, from luxurious vehicle to total junk cars. They don’t say in vain that someone’s junk is other’s treasure. Some people buy defected cars, cars that took part in driving accidents or old cars that are beyond repair and they use them for spare parts or transform them altogether into new and exciting driving temptations. Others simply buy a damaged car because that’s what they can afford and they think that in time they will fix it themselves.

Police Auto Auctions

Monday, September 7th, 2009

So it’s time to buy that new family car and finances are a little tight. This is not a big problem and shouldn’t concern you. With the economy in the state that it’s in, it comes as no surprise that that folks are trying to save on their purchases as much as they can

We’ve all heard of the savings one can make at a police auto auction, but the question remains: Are they really as lucrative as many folks make them out to be.
Perhaps you can best answer this question by looking at the origin of autos sold at police auctions. These are all vehicles that have been seized from criminals. This simply imples that, compared to a financial institution, police departments don’t have any motivation to achieve high prices at the auction events. This is a near perfect scenario for potential bidders, as you are transacting with a seller that doesn’t need to sell his product at an acceptable market value.

Car Auctions – A Simple Guide

Monday, August 10th, 2009

It’s easy to find discounted car bargains at car auctions.  There you’ll find everything from luxury automobiles to junk projects. Many people purchase cars this way from car auctions either for themselves or to sell at a profit. But unless you keep some things in mind the auction can turn into a nightmare.

One possible problem is that the purchase might not be a good one.  The car won at auction might turn out to be a lemon.  The rule of the auction jungle is “as is”.  The old children’s show “Electric Company” taught children about this with a man considering  used car with an “as is” sign in the window.  As he inspects the car he asks a lot of questions to which the salesman always responds “as is”.  Once the sale is made and the man tries to enter the car, it shakes itself apart.  The unfortunate buyer shouts “I want the car as was!”  Don’t be like that man.
