Are Green Cars the Future?

Friday, July 31st, 2009

When it comes to buying new cars, a lot of people fall in to one of two groups – those who don’t particularly care about the car itself, and will be looking for the cheapest option or the least likely to break down, and petrol heads who want the fastest, sleekest, coolest car they can find. ‘Green’ cars, designed to be more fuel efficient and produce less or no carbon emissions, have never really fallen into either group. Yes it’s nice to think you could make a difference with the car you drive, but let’s face it these environmentally friendly cars just aren’t capable of performing as well as their petrol-powered counterparts, and they usually cost a lot more too.

Why Are There So Many Nice Cars on the Road?

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

While I was driving to work the other day I got stuck in a traffic queue on the motor way, it was quite a lengthy one and I did begin to get slightly bored. After a while I looked over to the other side of the carriageway, to my amazement for at least 20 minutes every vehicle that went pass was so nice. There I literally was in my car that was falling to bits whilst everyone else was driving their own brand new motors. I mean where to they find the resources?

Will Your New Car Last You?

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

The reason for asking this question is because of the recent declaration by the government that they will be giving £2000 to owners of vehicles that are more than nine years old. The reason they are doing this is to avoid pollution caused by older engines. Old vehicles cause a lot more pollution simply because of the fact that did not have the technology in the past, so that really leads me to the question of whether or not new cars are going to be made to last anymore?

Standard Headlights Being Outshone By LEDs

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

When someone has made the switch to LED headlights from standard bulbs, you can spot them a mile off by the clear and pure white light that is being emitted from their car. These light have seeing exponential sales recently and are more popular than they have ever been. But why are these lights considered so much better?

Firstly they provide much higher quality light that aids driving. Wolfgand Huhn, Audi’s lighting exert said recently “everyone who has seen these lights in action is not only astonished by the excellent output but also thrilled with the homogenous distribution of light and the agreeable, daylight-esque colour of the light.”

Why Buy a New Car When You can Lease

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

In this day and age cars are a necessity in everyone’s life, if you are relying on public transport then you should expect being late to anywhere you go. People these days want to have extravagant cars to drive around in and they end up causing a fortune.

But is it truly worth purchasing a new car these days? Let as have a look at why I just do not like this.
1.) Newer models of vehicles have been made not to last, so that after a few years you will need to go out and buy a new one.
2.) Even if a car was built to last in this day and age people just travel so much and they would probably do 100k miles in 3 years or less.
3.) Parts for your vehicle that will set you back alot.

The Trick of the Car Salesman

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

A car is a major part of everyone's lives these days, whether you are just driving socially or to work on a regular basis a vehicle is an absolute must have.A lot of people though cannot really afford to buy a brand new car, the price for a zero car would be much more costly and as soon as you purchase it you know that you will never ever get your money back on it.

That is why a vast amount of folk just opt for buyinf used vehicles, but the quality is very low as the garages just want to make themselves a quick buck. I am finding it very much harder to trust used car salesmen.

Used Car Sales Outperform New Buys

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

As new car sales see as sharp drop off in their numbers, used vehicle auctioneers are having a better time of it any have been announcing growing volumes of used cars coming through their doors.

The new car market is clearly not in a good way. Production is down at all the major car manufacturers and lay offs have been announced across the board. The luxury car market has also been hit, with Bentley announcing job losses last month. Official figures show a 30.9% fall in new car registrations in January as compared to the previous year according to the Society of Motor Manufactures. 1974 was the last time there was a fall of this scale and there looks to be continuation of this trend in the new future. 3 years is the predicted length for the slump in car sales according to many industry analysts.

The new BMW Z4 2009

Monday, March 9th, 2009

This is the model many hope will bring BWM back to its glory days as the leader in admirable car design and sex appeal. Sure Chris Bangle’s vision of designs might have been misunderstood. Perhaps the designs were too futuristic, too sophisticated and too sexy in a way that confused an average BWM fan. The cars still delivered on the promise of “Sheer Driving Pleasure” the only issue being the driver wished dearly for better looks.

The new BMW 7 Series.

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

The flagship BMW is back to reclaim its top position and is really on the right track.

Power

Under the hood is bigger and better than any previous effort in the seven series – the 750iL boasts a mighty 400 horsepower (which is more than 40 more horses than before) and can rocket from zero to sixty in less than five seconds.  Although the miles per gallon of the new  4.4 liter V8 engine are a bit modest in terms of conservation (15 city and 23 highway), they are still competitive among the big boys in the luxury class.

Everyone knows that the car industry is the one which is most affected. Although used cars are still widely being accepting, dealers are having trouble ridding of the new cars.
