The situation with the economy has led to sharp increases in the number of people who are turning to this crime in order to make some money. These scams can result in a lot of money for people and many have decided that they are willing to try them out. Things have gotten so bad that the Finance and leasing Association (FLA) has issued warnings to anyone considering purchasing used cars. There can be so many problems for those who actually get caught out by these scams. And if you are one of those caught out and duped into buying one of these cars, you could be facing repossession of the car and a large loss of money.
You might not be able to afford to buy the brand new car of your desire so buying a used version can be a great alternative. It is also possible to find second-hand cars that are practically new but significantly cheaper than buying first-hand. As well as advantages though there are also disadvantages associated with buying used cars.

Official figures show a 30.9% fall in new car registrations in January as compared to the previous year according to the Society of Motor Manufactures. 1974 was the last time there was a fall of this scale and there looks to be continuation of this trend in the new future. 3 years is the predicted length for the slump in car sales according to many industry analysts.
It seems that it is quite a sensible move to buy a second hand car. There is no reason why they should not be reliable if you buy them from a trusted source or do your homework thoroughly on the car before you commit to buying. It also makes excellent financial sense in that as soon as a new car is driven off the forecourt it starts to lose money, but a second-hand car has already made this loss.
