Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

With all the scammers available, you would think that more people would investigate the history of the vehicle they buy before they buy it, but this is not the case. I have been both a second hand vehicle seller, and a second hand vehicle buyer, and I can tell you that very few people are willing to put enough effort into learning about vehicle history. Lots of people do not even know that if you check the number on the engine block, You can use it to find everything out about a specific vehicle. You can find out if it has been in any accidents, the number of owners it has had, what States it has been driven in, and if it has ever been totaled and rebuilt.

What You Really Need To Know Regarding Extended Car Warranties

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Are extended car warranties a waste of your time and money? Extended warranties on objects like televisions and home stereos (are they even called that anymore?) usually are, since nothing usually goes wrong with these. That’s not how it is with a car full of moving parts and burning heated gas though. Have a look at it this way – would you buy used cars that came with no warranty? If the notion makes you uncomfortable, then there’s your answer to why a warranty on used cars is an excellent idea. Just as medical insurance protects you in the event something happens, there always is something possible with a car, especially used cars. People buying on eBay Motors know that – buyers would always pay more for a car that is under warranty. The warranty makes people comfortable for a very good reason – a car is actually an insanely advanced mechanical machine and there are any variety of things that can go wrong with it once in a while.

Car Rental Coupons – Always Read The Fine Print

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

In simple economics, car rental coupons are a promotion strategy employed by car rental businesses to persuade customers to rent cars from them. The coupons may be obtained on the web and from magazines that team up with the car rental company. A number of entertainment books, the yellow pages as well as newspaper ads also contain these kinds of coupons inside them. Upon return of the car rented, a coupon’s value is deducted from the overall charges. Admittedly, a few of these vouchers feature such enticing discounts and free offers that even the most budget-wise shoppers can’t resist.

The Auto Black Book Isn’t The Be All And End All When It Comes To Vehicle Price

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

People put a lot of stock in the automobile Black Book, but there is more to vehicles than Black Book value. I should know. I am a used car salesman, which means that I earn my living honestly appraising and selling vehicles for their value.

It is imperative to know the automobile Black Book rate for used cars, but that isn’t all there is to it. Based on how well you look after your car, what modifications and repairs you make, and even what local climate you live in, the automobile Black Book value can be far off. The car can be worth part of what it should be, or worth two times the book worth for used cars. It all depends.

Donating Your Aged Motor Vehicle to Charity Can Be a Fantastic Way to Make the Very Best of a Bad Motor Vehicle Scenario

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

You might have owned an automobile that caused you nothing but grief. Many of us have. I actually decided that making vehicle donations to a non-profit is a viable option for anybody who has a dead heap of automobile sitting in his driveway. Even if the vehicle runs you may be better off donating rather than selling.

After my beater vehicle died, I found my self heading to used car lots and trying to trade it in for one of the collection of other used cars or even get the “cash for used cars” choice but thatwasn’t going to happen. So I decided to investigate vehicle donations for a non-profit as an alternative. I hated the idea of selling the piece of junk to somebody who wouldn’t know how to fix it. It would likely end up in the hands of a young couple that could not afford to update it properly. The last thing I wanted was for somebody to get hurt in my old vehicle.

Day in the Life of a Car Salesman

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

A few years ago I was asked to prepare an article which could help to enhance the reputations of used car salesmen. It is obvious that I was no miracle worker, but it was something that could well be directed in the right direction.

At the time I was working as a part time journalist, but chance had it that a close family friend had been working in the car business for years. It was his suggestion to come in to the company and spend a day or two working at the sharp end. There can be no better way of researching something than putting yourself in the actual environment.
