- You are sure to find that your car leasing contract will have a cap on the number of miles you can drive a year. This is normally around 10,000 miles for each year of the contract. Exceeding the mileage allowance will usually incur a charge for each mile over. It is very important that you are aware of these extra costs before you sign the contract.
